Juice Feasting - Day 1

Today went pretty well. I juiced 3 quarts of fruits and veggies last night so I would be ready for today. I'm not a morning person at all, so getting everything ready at night really helped. I ended up just juicing things I had instead of thinking about a recipe. Some of the juice tasted good today, others not so good, but I was excited to get started and the taste just didn't seem that important to me. Tonight, I had more time and took a little more care to put stuff together that would taste good. I did a little taste test and I'm happy with the results.

I didn't sleep much last night, not sure why I had such a hard time falling asleep. Then a huge thunderstorm woke me up after I finally did fall asleep. I woke up extra early so I could get some exercise in, so I was really sleepy by this afternoon. By late afternoon I had gotten a chill that I couldn't shake, so I went to the gym and sat in the sauna for a while until I got good and warm. That helped a lot.

I don't quite have all the stuff I need for the feast, so I went to the store tonight, but didn't have any luck. If I don't find things tomorrow, I guess I will have to order off the net. I'm pressing on now that I've started, and I will add the items in as I get them.

I was actually going to do this juice feast a while ago, after reading Angela Stokes blog, and reading a good bit on JuiceFeasting.com but I never really felt like I could do it. This time, I feel a different urge, almost like I MUST do it. I was mulling it over a bit, and I asked for a dream to let me know if I should try it or not. I only remember a bit of the dream, I was riding a bicycle. When I woke I was very excited to start the feast. So even though I couldn't recall the dream, I got my answer so here I go.

I'm not sure how long I will be doing the feast, I haven't done a long fast before. I'm going to take it a day at a time and see where I end up.

On an even better note... when I woke up I rebounded, did some yoga stretches and some weights. Woo Hoo! Maybe this is what I need to exercise more!

I gotta get me a rebounder! I want a trampoline, but my DW won't let me get one. :( I'll be watching your feast/fast. Thanks for sharing. ;)

Thanks!

Kevin let Sarah read this blog entry of Courtney's and she might change her mind about the trampoline!

Also, you can put a sprinkler underneath them in the summer and have bouncy cool fun. They are great babysitters too. With all those children, you should get your money's worth.
